Hulladek Recycling, Eastern India’s fastest-growing waste management company, hosted ‘Green Architects 2024’, an exposition for a sustainable future that provided a platform for various organizations working on changing consumer behaviour habits of recycling.
Hulladek Honours 2024, a prestigious award ceremony, recognized individuals, corporations, communities, and associations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to sustainability and climate action, with a particular emphasis on waste management.
A series of panel discussions were held on the occasion that included:
- Educating the youth on sustainability: home front vs school front, moderated by Manoshi Roychowdhury with panellists Prof. (Dr.) Deepali Singhee, Dr. Swati Nandi Chakraborty, Mrs Dipika Jalan and Mrs. Smita Bhatter.
- Making Recycling the New Cool: Influencing Consumer Behaviour towards habits of recycling, moderated by Abhinav Bajpai with panellists Mr. Meghdut Roychowdhury, Mrs. Radhika Goyal, Mr. Nirit Dutta and Ms. Srishti Nadhani.
- How to incorporate sustainability as part of CSR moderated by Mr. Vinay Jaju, with panelists Ms Renu Chowdhury, Mr Ankur Chaturvedi, Mr Navkaran Bagga and Mr Ankan Adhikari.
- Circular Economy of Electronics, moderated by Nandan Mall, with panelists Mr Umang Lalani, Mr Samvit Paliwal, Mr Jitendra Lakhotia and Mr Shamik Chakraborty.

Another highlight of the programme was the launch of an upcycled product line made of e-waste launched by Dr. Dhriti Banerjee, Director, Zoological Survey Of India. An Upcycled Fashion Show by the students of J D Birla Institute, featuring a collection of handcrafted garments was also showcased. The garments, such as shirts, dresses, t-shirts, and jackets, were made using natural, herbal-dyed, and certified organic fabrics carefully sourced and produced to create unique garments that express each individual’s personal style.
The awards to the various winners were handed over by Dr. Pradeep Vyas, IFS (Retd.), Vigilance Commissioner, West Bengal Vigilance Commission; Mr. Ketan Sengupta, CEO, Bengal Peerless Housing and Mr. Biswajit Matilal, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Birla Corporation Limited.
