Five and Dime, a renowned restaurant, hosted an exclusive event to unveil its new Durga Puja menu, offering guests a first taste of the culinary delights crafted specially for the festive season. The event, attended by an Indian Flim Director Anindya Chatterjee, Artistic Director and Choreographer Sudarshan Chakraborty, Singer Mekhla Dasgupta, Singer Dipannita Acharya. The event was an afternoon filled with exceptional flavors and warm hospitality, with guests enjoying the culinary delights.
Apeksha Lahiri, the owner of The Yellow Turtle, Five and Dime, and Asha Audio Company, graced the event with her presence. Speaking on the occasion, she said, “Durga Puja is a time for celebration and indulgence. At Five and Dime, we have created a menu that reflects the spirit of the festival, bringing together traditional Bengali flavors with a modern twist. We want our guests to experience the joy of Durga Puja through our food.”
The Durga Puja menu features a lavish lunch buffet priced at INR 999/- and an option to enjoy unlimited alcohol with the meal for INR 1599/-. The buffet includes over 32–35 items, with a special focus on Bengali-themed cocktails available throughout the day. The Lunch buffet offer will be valid from 9th-12th October 2024, in two slots- 12pm-2pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm.
Guests were treated to various dishes during the launch, including Palak Patta Chaat, Tomato & Dhania Shorba with a non-vegetarian side, Vegetable Cutlet with Kasundi, Achari Paneer Tikka with Mint Chutney, Fish Cutlet with Kasundi, and Gondhoraj Chicken Finger with Chilli Mayo Dip. The main course featured Kaju Kishmis Pulao, Begun Bhaja, Luchi, Cholar Dal, Desi Murgir Jhol Aloo Diye, Mutton Dakbunglow, Silley Bata Chingri, Kashmiri Aloo Dum, and TD Roti. The meal was rounded off with steamed rice, salad, papad, chutney, payesh, sandesh, and mishti paan.
The event concluded with a lively atmosphere, as guests enjoyed the delicious food and drinks and immersed themselves in the festive spirit. Five and Dime’s Durga Puja menu is sure to delight food lovers and create lasting memories of the festival.
