In a beautiful celebration of culture and compassion, the Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital embarked on a heartwarming Durga Puja pandal-hopping adventure, bringing joy and excitement to children from marginalized backgrounds in association with the Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee. This year’s event, aptly named “Durbar Sathey Durga,” allowed these children to explore the vibrant and iconic pandals of Kolkata, beginning at the Uddipani Club in Park Circus and culminating at the renowned Samaj Sebi Sangha.

The air was filled with laughter and smiles on this auspicious day, as the children, accompanied by dedicated volunteers and staff from the Institute, immersed themselves in the festive spirit. Each pandal they visited—Ballygunge Phari 21 Pally, Ekdalia, Singhi Park, Hindustan Park, Tridhara, and Ballygunge Cultural—showcased artistic brilliance and cultural richness, making the experience all the more magical.

Shri Krishna Kumar Gupta, Chairman of the Jagannath Gupta Institute, shared his heartfelt sentiments during the event, saying, “Bringing joy to the lives of these children is what drives us. This initiative is not just about visiting the pandals; it’s about instilling hope and creating cherished memories for children who deserve to experience the beauty of our cultural heritage.” His words echoed the mission of the Institute, highlighting the importance of nurturing dreams and aspirations within every child.

The event was a resounding success, serving as a poignant reminder of the power of community, compassion, and the joyous spirit of Durga Puja. Through this initiative, the Jagannath Gupta Institute reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting marginalized communities, ensuring that the festive celebrations are inclusive and meaningful for all.

The smiles on the children’s faces and the laughter shared created a lasting bond between them and the volunteers from Jagannath Gupta Institute, demonstrating that when they come together, they can weave a tapestry of hope and joy that transcends societal barriers. This celebration was not just an event for Jagannath Gupta Institute; it was a promise—a promise that every child, regardless of their background, deserves to embrace the beauty and richness of their cultural heritage. Through their commitment to uplifting these young souls, Jagannath Gupta Institute reaffirms its dedication to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that all children can partake in the vibrant tapestry of their shared cultural heritage.
