Rapido Launches New Airport Cab Service at Kolkata Airport, Inaugurated by West Bengal Transport Minister

Rapido, India’s largest ride-sharing platform and a leading job creator has announced its partnership with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to bring affordable and seamless commute solutions to travelers at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBI Airport), Kolkata. The service was officially inaugurated today by Shri Snehasis Chakraborty, Cabinet Minister, Department of Transport, Government of West Bengal, in the presence of Dr. Saumitra Mohan, Secretary Transport, Government of West Bengal. This collaboration introduces Rapido’s lowest-priced cabs at the airport, with plans to extend similar services to 10 more airports by March’25.

Through this partnership, Rapido will set up dedicated cab service zones at Kolkata Airport, where travelers can easily access safe, reliable, and budget-friendly rides through Rapido’s platform. This initiative ensures a smooth, affordable journey from the airport to various destinations across the city, enhancing passenger convenience from the moment they leave the terminal.

Shri Snehasis Chakraborty, Cabinet Minister, Department of Transport, Government of West Bengal, said, “With the launch of this service at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, we’re not just offering cost-effective travel solutions but also creating valuable employment opportunities for our local drivers.
