JIS Group Celebrates Excellence at JIS SAMMAN 2025

JIS SAMMAN 2025, the prestigious annual award ceremony organised by the JIS Group, was held today, Saturday, February 01, 2025, at Nazrul Mancha. This grand event celebrated extraordinary accomplishments in Academics, Culture, and Sports, bringing together dignitaries, celebrities, scholars, and luminaries from various fields, followed by an exhilarating performance by renowned singers Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal. Luminaries including Shri. Suprakash Mukhapadhyay, Company Secretary, Group Corporate Secretary and Group Treasury Head of Tata Sons & Chairman, Tata Services Limited; Padma Shri Mamata Shankar, Renowned Indian Actress, Dancer; Prof. Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, USA; José Márcio Ramirez Barreto, Former Brazilian Footballer; Shri. Tanmoy Bose, Renowned Indian percussionist; Shri. Gurbux Singh, Former Indian Hockey Player; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director JIS Group; Prof (Dr.) Abhijit Sengupta, Chairman, JIS Samman 2025, Director GNIPST; Sardar Haranjit Singh Joint Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Amrik Singh Deputy Managing Director, JIS Group; Bidyut Majumder, Deputy Director, Business Development, JIS Group and Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group were part of this momentous occasion.

The highlight of this year’s event was the JIS Maha Samman, posthumously awarded to Late Shri. Ratan Tata, an industrialist and philanthropist whose visionary leadership transformed Indian business and inspired countless individuals through his relentless dedication to social welfare and nation-building. On his behalf, the award was received by Shri. Suprakash Mukhapadhyay, Company Secretary, Group Corporate Secretary and Group Treasury Head of Tata Sons & Chairman, Tata Services Limited .The JIS Maha Samman was also conferred on José Márcio Ramirez Barreto, the legendary Brazilian footballer celebrated for his remarkable contributions to Indian football; Prof. Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, USA, for his exceptional achievements in space science and his role in motivating young minds in STEM fields, Smt. Mamata Shankar, an acclaimed Indian actress and dancer, recognized for her immense contributions to the world of art and culture, Shri. Tanmoy Bose, Renowned Indian Percussionist and Shri. Gurbux Singh, Former Indian Hockey Player.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, said, “JIS SAMMAN 2025 is not just an event; it’s a celebration and recognition of excellence.
