The curtains fell on Kritanj 2025, the annual Techno-Management Fest of Narula Institute of Technology, a JIS Group Educational Initiative, in a grand closing ceremony celebrating cutting-edge innovation and collaborative problem-solving. Over two action-packed days, the event served as a dynamic platform for aspiring technocrats, engineers, students, and management professionals, featuring a series of advanced competitions, workshops, and interactive sessions.
A major highlight was Hack-O-NiT, a 24-hour overnight hackathon that witnessed an overwhelming response with over 180 teams registering, culminating in a fierce final round featuring the top 30 teams. Among them, 18 hailed from leading government and private engineering colleges across West Bengal, garnering a diverse exchange of unique ideas. This year’s hackathon saw remarkable innovations, including a drone for real-time plant disease detection, leveraging AI and advanced imaging to enhance crop health and yield efficiency, and a Robotic Dog for elderly companionship, designed to provide emotional support and assist with daily tasks, promoting independent living.
Kritanj 2025 also featured a wide range of competitions spanning Robotics, AI-ML, Circuit Designing, Coding, Gaming, Ideathons, Quizzes, Start-up Pitches, and Management-based challenges. Supported by the IEEE CIS Student Chapter, IEEE Communication Society (Kolkata Chapter), ASCE International Student Chapter, the Institution of Engineers, MCCI, and powered by Idea-O-Meter, the fest attracted an enthusiastic response from students, academicians, and industry professionals alike.
