Senior journalist Manogya Loiwal has stepped down from ABP News after four impactful years with the network. She is set to embrace a bigger role in another renowned national news organization, marking an exciting new chapter in her illustrious career.

A Trailblazing Career in Journalism-As Anchor and Editor at ABP News, Manogya spearheaded coverage of PMO, BJP, Defence, and North-East Affairs, cementing her reputation as one of India’s most formidable journalists. With over two decades in multimedia journalism, she has reported from some of the world’s most challenging locations, covering critical political, social, and international events with depth and precision.

She holds the rare distinction of being the only journalist from Eastern India to have interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi twice across two different networks. Notably, she:

• Conducted Modi’s first interview in a public rally (2019).
• Led his first-ever roadshow interview during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections—a pioneering format in Indian political journalism.

Unparalleled Reporting Across Frontlines-Before joining ABP News in 2021, Manogya served as Editor – East at Aaj Tak and India Today Television, based in Kolkata. Over the years, she has also worked with Network18, Dainik Jagran, and the India Today Group, covering some of the biggest stories shaping India and the world. Her fearless, on-ground journalism has set her apart, with coverage spanning:

• Elections & Political Shifts – Reporting from key battlegrounds during Lok Sabha and state elections.
• Global Affairs – The only Asian journalist to report from Wuhan, China, during the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak.
• Border & Conflict Reporting – The first journalist to reach the closest point to the Doklam standoff between India and China.
• Humanitarian Crises & Disasters – Investigative reporting on Rohingya villages in Myanmar and Bangladesh, and extensive coverage of Cyclone Amphan.

Honors & Recognition-Manogya’s fearless journalism and groundbreaking storytelling have earned her numerous accolades, including:

• Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism
• ENBA Award for Best Reporting on Social Issues
• News Television Award for Best Reporter
• Bharat Nirman Award

Beyond reporting, she has been a TEDx speaker, a fellow at the Indian School of Business (ISB), and a participant in the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

As she embarks on this new journey, Manogya Loiwal remains a powerful force in Indian journalism—continuing to break barriers, set new benchmarks, and redefine the way news is reported.
