Rohan Pariyar and Karustiti have come together to launch a flagship store at 66 Shakespeare Sarani, near Decathlon, Kolkata — marking a new chapter in contemporary Indian fashion rooted in craftsmanship and heritage. This unique collaboration merges East and West through handwoven saris and couture ensembles that reflect a shared commitment to artistry, emotion, and innovation.
From a muslin jamdani meticulously crafted from 180 handspun cotton threads to a cocktail skirt embellished with pearls and glass, the range blends Karustuti’s textile legacy with Rohan Pariyar’s signature dramatic silhouettes. The collection reflects precision, emotion-led design, and countless hours of artisanal labour.
Rohan’s meticulously crafted corsets set the mood right for any evening/red carpet event. These corsets, featuring metallic boning and intricate hand embellishments are a long standing testament to Rohan’s commitment to focus on the fit and finish of the garments. Paired with trousers, skirts, sarees and lehngas, the corset which is the brand’s signature silhouette has surfaced as the most versatile piece of clothing as are sarees. Rohan believes firmly that a corset is meant for people of all ages, shapes and sizes and colours.
“This has been a dream I’ve manifested for nearly a decade. I always wanted to collaborate with a brand like Karustuti that aligns with my sensibilities,” shared Rohan Pariyar.
Ankita Naskar, co-founder of Karustuti, added, “We have collaborated in the past in exhibitions and forums, but this store gives us the opportunity to present the best of both our design languages in one immersive space. We are confident that we’re bringing something fresh to Kolkata.”
The store features a thoughtfully curated layout designed for the modern Indian woman — offering saris, jumpsuits, gowns, and Indo-western styles that are versatile yet grounded in storytelling. Model Sanghashree Roy was present at the press meet to celebrate this launch.
