In a strategic move that blends vision with legacy, Aditya Group, led by Mr. Anirban Aditya, and Hanglaatherium, founded by Mr. Sunando Banerjee, have announced their partnership with a shared mission — to take Kolkata Biryani to a wider, national audience.

While the dish remains a cultural cornerstone in Bengal, Kolkata Biryani has often taken a backseat in the national conversation — with variants like Hyderabadi Biryani enjoying widespread commercial success. Recognizing this opportunity, the two homegrown powerhouses are coming together to reimagine and reposition Kolkata Biryani as a brand with both heart and scale.

The journey begins with the opening of a flagship Hanglaatherium outlet at Jessore Road, directly opposite Diamond Plaza, marking the brand’s first entry into North Kolkata. This outlet is expected to set the tone for future developments under this collaboration.

At this point, both teams have chosen to keep the long-term blueprint under wraps, but the intent is clear: to build a strong, scalable, and culturally rooted biryani brand that resonates across India.

Further announcements regarding expansion plans and brand roadmap will be shared in the coming months.

For now, the focus is simple: ignite curiosity, spark appetite, and make Hanglaatherium’s biryani the talk of the town. Stay tuned. The Biryani Trail has just begun.
