In a landmark moment for Bengali music, Bangladeshi-origin British singer Rubayyat Jahan and renowned composer Raja Kaasheff joined forces with living legend Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the duet Tumi Amar Prem Piyasa. Released by Dhrub Music Station, the song marks Khan’s much-awaited entry into Bengali music.
The track, written by National Film Award-winning lyricist Kabir Bakul, was recorded at Dubai’s Playback Creative Studio, with music arrangement and direction by Raja Kaasheff. The unique collaboration celebrates the power of cross-border artistry, blending soulful Bengali lyrics with a voice that has transcended generations.
On this occasion, Rubayyat Jahan said, “Singing alongside Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is one of the greatest achievements of my life.
