Durga Puja in Bengal is never complete without the warmth of community, the rhythm of the dhaak, and the irresistible aromas of festive food. This year, Orko’s invites you to celebrate the season with an elaborate Pujo-special spread at City Centre 1, Salt Lake, available from *27th September to 2nd October. Guests can indulge in a wide buffet spread for lunch between **12:30 PM and 4:00 PM, while dinners from *6:00 PM to 12:30 AM will feature a specially curated festive à la carte menu.

The festive buffet lunch is priced at *₹1299 + taxes on Panchami, Shosti, Ashtami and Dashami, while Saptami and Nabami will be served at ₹1399 + taxes. For dinner, guests can indulge in the special à la carte festive menu at *₹2000 + taxes for two people.

Sharing his thoughts on the festive offering, Kaushik Sengupta, Corporate General Manager, Sens Hospitality Division, says, “Durga Puja is not just a festival—it is an emotion, a homecoming. Food plays a huge role in shaping that experience. At Orko’s, we have crafted this special Pujo menu with dishes that every Bengali associates with family gatherings, adda, and the joy of togetherness. It is our tribute to the spirit of Pujo and the culinary heritage of Bengal.”

The feast begins with refreshing welcome drinks like Kalakhatta Gandhoraj Lebur Shorbot—a tangy, nostalgic sip—and Kachha Aam, Ada-o-Kanchalankar Panio, a punch of raw mango, ginger, and green chilli that awakens the senses. Starters set the stage with a mix of comfort and excitement: the delicate crispiness of Bok Phooler Bora, the spiced indulgence of Paneer Cigarello Roll, and the golden-fried Dorji Parar Macher Cutlet with Kasundi that captures the essence of Kolkata’s culinary streets. For meat lovers, the smoky Shekanja Murgh Tikka and hearty Mocha Murgir Chop add layers of flavour and tradition.

The main course is where the indulgence truly unfolds. The legendary Kolkata Style Mutton Biryani—with its fragrant rice, tender mutton, anda, aloo, and beresta—takes pride of place. Alongside it, the creamy richness of Chingrir Malai Curry and the robust flavours of Awadhi Murgh Chaap promise indulgence, while the homely Macher Matha Diya Subzi evokes the warmth of family kitchens. Vegetarians can savour soulful classics like Hing Narkol Cholar Dal, the festive favourite Ghee Bhaja Dhokar Dalna, and the comforting Aloo Phulgobi Roast. Accompaniments such as Jamai Jhuri Aloo Bhaja, Begun Bosonto, and tangy chutneys and pickles add crunch and zest to the experience.

The sweet ending is pure bliss. From the caramel warmth of Gurer Garam Payesh to soft Rosogolla, decadent Gulab Jamun, and the refreshing Misti Pan, the dessert spread ensures every guest leaves with a smile and a true mishti mukh.
