Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, and senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party Amit Shah, stated in an interview with the news agency ANI’s podcast on Thursday that, ‘The Modi government, ‘The Modi government will grant citizenship to all eligible refugees. CAA is a law to grant citizenship, not to take it away.’

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government had mentioned in its 2019 Lok Sabha election manifesto about implementing the CAA and under the skilled guidance of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, the CAA was implemented across the country before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is evident from this that CAA is a matter of empathy for the BJP, not for political gain. From Rahul Gandhi to Owaisi and from Arvind Kejriwal to Mamata Banerjee, leaders of all opposition parties are engaging in the politics of lies. Instead of opposing Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, Arvind Kejriwal is spreading misconceptions against refugees for vote-bank politics. Mamata Banerjee should focus on preventing infiltration instead of opposing the CAA. Mamata Banerjee wants to sow hatred between Hindus and Muslims to appease her vote bank. With the BJP’s expanding influence that the day is not far when there will be a BJP government in West Bengal as well, and strict action will be taken against infiltration. Amit Shah’s clear message to those states claiming that CAA will not be implemented is, ‘Citizenship law is a matter for the central government, there is no basis for opposition by states.’

The people of the country have understood that the Citizenship Amendment Act is about giving rights to millions of refugees who came from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh before December 31, 2014, providing them relief from their suffering and ensuring justice for their three generations, which the Congress never did. It has also been evident since the implementation of this law that Modi-Shah has worked to end the 75-year-long suffering of refugees.

The Chanakya of Indian politics, who successfully brings every major decision to fruition, Amit Shah’s style indicates that neither the INDI Alliance is coming to power nor is the CAA going anywhere. It is worth noting that the doors to Indian citizenship has not been closed for any Muslim. In fact, opposing every decision of the Modi government has become a habit of the opposition, as seen in the surgical strike, air strike, abrogation of Article 370, abolishment of triple talaq, etc.

In order to decisively defeat the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Chanakya of Indian politics has once again entered the field with the achievements of the Modi government. The opposition parties also know that when Shah enters the arena, the lotus blooms for sure. The ‘Amit Shah factor’ is sufficient to achieve victory in any election for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Based on the achievements of the past 10 years, the people of the country have once again made up their minds to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister.
