Five & Dime brought the essence of Bengali New Year to life with a grand Poila Baisakh buffet, offering a traditional spread that captured the true flavors of Bengal. Priced at Rs.1199, the special menu blended authentic Bengali delicacies with a festive atmosphere, making it a memorable culinary experience.

The buffet featured a variety of salads and chaats, including green salad, mustard cucumber carrot, puchka, pickled onion, and palak patta chaat. Guests enjoyed a selection of vegetarian appetizers such as vegetable chop, narkol chana satay, kumro fuler bora, and enchorer doi bora. The non-vegetarian options included egg devil, fish cutlet, kanchalonka chicken paturi, and live tawa fish fry.

The main course was a feast in itself, featuring luchi, basanti pulao, steam rice, cholar dal, monohora dal, begun bhaja, and jhuri aloo bhaja. Traditional Bengali dishes like enchor dalna, channa koraishuti, lau ghonto, desi murgir jhol, mutton dakbunglow, and shile bata chingri added to the celebration. To complete the meal, there was kancha aam chutney, papad, and an assortment of Bengali sweets, including mishti doi, chaler payesh, rajbhog, sandesh, and paan.

Speaking about the celebration, Apeksha Lahiri, owner of Five & Dime, said, “Poila Baisakh is not just a festival, it is an emotion for Bengalis. It marks a new beginning, filled with hope, joy, and of course, great food. At Five & Dime, we wanted to create an experience that reflects the rich heritage of Bengali cuisine. Our Poila Baisakh buffet was more than just a meal—it was a celebration of our culture, something we hope will become a tradition for years to come.”

With an ambiance that complemented the festive spirit, Five & Dime made this Poila Baisakh a truly special occasion, bringing people together over a shared love for Bengali flavors and traditions.

The Poila Baisakh buffet will be available only on April 15th, throughout the day, inviting guests to indulge in a grand festive feast.
