Outreach Session on e-BRC under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme Organized by DGFT Kolkata in association with FIEO Eastern Region

With the objective of facilitating and handholding exporters, the Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Kolkata, organized an Outreach Session on e-BRC (Electronic Bank Realization Certificate) under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme on 30th October 2025, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Eastern Region.

In his opening address, Shri Abhinav Gupta, IRS, Additional DGFT, Kolkata, highlighted the recent initiatives undertaken by DGFT to enhance the ease of doing business through digital platforms. He emphasized the Government’s commitment to strengthening e-governance systems and providing real-time, transparent, and efficient services to exporters.

The session witnessed active participation from Export Promotion Councils, leading export houses, and stakeholders from across the Eastern Region, including many MSME exporters representing diverse sectors.

A technical team from DGFT Headquarters, New Delhi, provided detailed clarifications and hands-on guidance on various modules of DGFT’s E-Governance (EGTF) platform. The discussion covered key aspects such as e-BRCs, Customer Portal functionalities, and associated application modules including issuance, amendments, extensions, redemption, Value Cap (VC), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), refund mechanisms, Exporter Communication Access (ECA), miscellaneous payments, and other related digital processes.

Representing the exporters, Shri Abhishek Poddar, Regional Chairman, FIEO Eastern Region, raised several IT-related and operational issues for the attention of DGFT authorities, appreciating the department’s proactive engagement with industry. Shri Yogesh Gupta, Immediate Past Regional Chairman, FIEO Eastern Region, also shared his insights during the interactive session.

The outreach programme served as a constructive platform for dialogue and collaboration between DGFT and the exporting community, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to supporting exporters through continuous digital enablement and responsive policy implementation.
