Calcutta Electric Dealers Association organized its 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, June 6, at The Astor Hotel. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Dilip Ghosh, Cabinet Minister, Government of West Bengal.
The event was attended by Guests of Honour including Shri Sunil Singhi, Chairman of the National Traders Welfare Board; Shri Santosh Pathak, Ward No. 45 Councilor and popular BJP leader; Shri Subhas Agarwala, Chief Managing Director of Maithan Alloys Limited; and Shri Babiranjan Tripathi, Senior General Manager of KEI Industries Limited. Additionally, Patron (2025-2026) Shri Om Prakash Jhajharia was also present at the event.
The program commenced with a welcome address by President Abhishek Verma. Several former presidents and secretaries of the Association were also present on the occasion. Secretary Gagandeep Mundhra, Treasurer Taraknath Jaiswal, and Joint Secretary Ashok Banka played an active role in making the event a success. All guests were honored with shawls, mementos, and a replica of the Ram Mandir.
Calcutta Electric Dealers Association is continuously striving to build a cordial and strong relationship with the current BJP-led state government. The Association aims to act as a bridge between the state government and major corporates of the electrical industry to bring industrial investment to West Bengal and make our state the ‘Electrical Capital’ of India.
Vice-President Sunil Kumar Singhi conducted the award ceremony. The following awards were presented during the event: Ceda Ratan: Dr. B. N. Sinha (Founding Member); Ceda Samman: Shri Rajesh Goel; Soni Devi Award: Shri Dharmendra Daga; Kamla Devi Bardia Man of the Year Award: Shri Anil Kumar Singh; Best Convenor: Shri Bipin Goel and Shri Ashish Agrawal (Jointly); Ceda Young Achiever Award (Business): Shri Vidarbha Jalan; Ceda Young Achiever Award (Social Activities): Shri Vikas Rathi and Best Chairman Award: Shri Satya Prakash Shaw.
Prominent industrialists were also present on the occasion, including Shri Madan Mohan Fomra, Managing Director of Cabcon India Limited; Shri Vinay Rathi, Whole-Time Director of Gloster Cables Limited; and Shri Siddhartha Malu, Founder of Ra Procure.
Furthermore, dignitaries from various organizations attended, including Siddhi Jain, National Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT); Shri Kamal Surana, Vice-President, and Shri Avinash Verma, Joint Secretary of The Calcutta Electric Traders Association; and Shri Amitabh Dassani, President, and Shri Surendra Dugar, Secretary of the Calcutta Machinery Dealers Association.
Election Chairman Shri H. K. Mishra announced the election results. The new team for the year 2026-2027 includes the following office-bearers: President: Abhishek Verma; Vice-President: Anil Kumar Singh; General Secretary: Aditya Vikram Mohanka and Treasurer: Arun Kothari.
