The Roadies fever officially hit Kolkata today as the makers of Roadies – REBIRTH took the audition journey forward, following the explosive reveal in Delhi and the high-energy audition stop in Chandigarh, which together marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the longest-running adventure reality show. After the OG Roadie Rannvijay Singha and the six Gang Leaders came together in Delhi to reveal the new format, aspiring contestants in Chandigarh and now Kolkata have stepped forward to take on the next chapter of the Roadies audition journey.
The biggest surprise? Roadies is no longer playing by the old rules. This season, the Roadies battlefield gets bigger, with six Gang Leaders bringing together experience, fresh energy and their own distinct game with just 2 gangs, i.e., Nikhil Chinapa, Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula v/s Abhishek Malhan, Bani J and Baseer Ali competing for the first time in Roadies history. With the season unveiling one gang led by OG Gang Leaders and the New Gang Leaders dynamic, the stakes are higher than ever, bringing together a powerful mix of experience, strategy, ambition and distinct personalities as the battle for the next generation of Roadies takes shape. With more alliances, rivalries, strategies and power shifts, the game is set to become bigger, tougher and far more unpredictable.
Setting the tone for the Kolkata auditions, Gang Leader Baseer Ali arrived in the city a day ahead of the auditions, bringing the Roadies spirit to the city. From meeting students at The Bhawanipur Education Society College to interacting with fans at Bikers Cafe, Baseer connected with Kolkata’s young audience and aspiring Roadies. He also made a special visit to Princep Ghat, adding to the excitement and buzz around the much-awaited auditions.
Neha Dhupia, expressed saying, “Every year comes with new challenges and this time is all about meeting new people, getting to know the two-gang format, having more contestants and of course, seeing the OGs go up against the NewGs, where the stakes are much higher. So, no matter how much experience you have, you always feel it’s your first time, your first task; you’re a brand-new gang. So yeah, I mean, it’s even more exciting because I don’t know what to expect, be it the ambiguity or this whole new dynamic, but I’m still up for the challenge as an OG. Roadies feels like… haa maine kar liya hai, toh aage bhi kar lenge!”
Nikhil Chinapa said, “Coming back to Roadies feels surreal, especially with REBIRTH bringing in a whole new dynamic to the game. The OGs and the NewGs coming together means different mindsets, different strategies and a whole new battle for supremacy. Every Gang Leader brings their own approach to the game and I’m looking forward to seeing how this clash of generations unfolds. I know what this game demands, and I’m ready to bring my experience, strategy and intensity to the ride once again.”
Gang Leader Prince Narula, back to Roadies with a bang, expressed, “I’ve lived Roadies as a contestant, a winner and an OG Gang Leader, so I know exactly what this journey can bring out in you. But REBIRTH is a whole new level of competition, with the OGs and the NewGs bringing their own approach to the game. With the two gangs battling against each other, every decision can change the game, and that is going to be intense. I’m going to gather my experience, plan my strategy, back my gang and I’m here to win.”
Baseer Ali said, “Coming to Kolkata and meeting the young crowd and aspiring Roadies has made this journey even more special. I had a great time at the college, interacting with the students and seeing the talent they brought to the table. Their energy, enthusiasm and the way they showcased their talent, woh dekh ke maza aa gaya. From being a contestant to now mentoring the next generation of Roadies, REBIRTH is bringing a whole new battle to the game: the OGs vs the NewGs. I’ve been on the other side; I know what it takes to survive this game and now I get to see if the new generation has what it takes to challenge the ones who’ve been here before. This isn’t just another chapter. It’s a full-circle moment and trust me, this one hits different!”
Making his debut as a Gang Leader, youth icon Abhishek Malhan shared, “Roadies is not just about surviving the tasks; it’s about surviving the game. And this season I get to be on the other side and lead a gang with two more leaders, which is honestly a crazy feeling aur mujhe koi idea nahi tha to be honest. With the OGs and the New Gs coming together, there’s going to be a lot to learn, a lot to show and a lot of competition. I’m ready to bring my own style to the game, back my gang build my own legacy on the Roadies journey.”
Making her return to Roadies as a NewG, Bani J shared, “Roadies has changed a lot, and coming back as a NewG is definitely an interesting feeling. As a Gang Leader, I’m not going to make things easy for anyone. You want the Roadie title? Then earn it. With the OGs and the NewGs coming together, there’s obviously going to be a lot more unpredictability. New faces, new dynamics, new rivalries and probably a few things nobody sees coming. That’s what makes Roadies exciting. Let’s see who actually has the guts to rise from the ashes.”
The energy culminated at the Kolkata auditions, where aspiring Roadies came together to take on the challenge and prove their mettle. With young aspirants stepping forward to test their grit, determination and ability to push beyond their limits, Kolkata added another chapter to the REBIRTH journey.
