What makes first love so unforgettable? The excitement of a first crush, the anticipation of a handwritten note or the little moments that stay with us long after they have passed? Revisiting the warmth, innocence, and gentle charm of first love, Sony AATH is all set to premiere its upcoming Bengali fiction show, Dear 90’s on 23rd November.
Marking Koel Mallick’s debut on television with this show, Dear 90’s will take viewers back to an era of music cassettes, handwritten letters and unspoken crushes, when love was simple, unfurled at its own pace, emotions expressed in subtle ways and small gestures held the deepest meaning. Set against the backdrop of the 90s, the story captures the joys and uncertainties of growing up, chasing dreams and discovering love for the first time. But as life unfolds and relationships take unexpected turns, will that first love stand the test of time?
Speaking about the show, Koel Mallick said, “The 90s were a special time, especially when it came to love and relationships. There was a certain innocence in the way people expressed their feelings, the excitement of waiting for someone, the joy of small gestures, and the memories that stayed with you for years. What drew me to Dear 90’s is how it takes us back to those emotions and reminds us of a time when falling in love felt truly magical. I am happy to be part of a story that celebrates love, growing up, discovering yourself, and cherishing the moments that stay with you. I hope audiences enjoy the nostalgia and find a little piece of their own story in the show.”
Produced by Surinder Films Pvt. Ltd., Dear 90’s features Koel Mallick, Sankhajit Sengupta, and Aparajita Mukerjee in lead roles.
Watch Dear 90’s from 23rd November 2026 on Sony AATH and Sony LIV.
