Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd. Announces Key Developments in Bairabi – Sairang Line Railway Bridge Project

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd., one of the leading organisations in the engineering and infrastructure sector, announced the key developments pertaining to the Bairabi–Sairang Line Railway Bridge Project, which is owned by the Indian Railways. This significant project marks another milestone in Texmaco’s legacy of delivering excellence in infrastructure development.

The Bairabi–Sairang Line Railway Bridge Project is a crucial endeavour aimed at enhancing connectivity and facilitating transportation in the region. Spanning a distance of 51.38 kilometers, the project involves the construction of vital infrastructure to support the Bairabi–Sairang line, a key component of the Northeast Frontier Railway zone of Indian Railways. Owned by Indian Railways, the project encompasses the construction of four stations and necessitates an estimated 28 hectares of land. Currently under construction, the railway line will feature a single diesel track built to broad gauge specifications (1676 mm). Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd.’s Bridges & Structural Division has been entrusted with fabricating and erecting structural steel bridges, including the casting of deck slabs and track linking. The scope of work entails the construction of 15 bridges with a total of 42 spans, showcasing Texmaco’s expertise in complex engineering projects. Major materials involved in the project include 5762 metric tons of structural steel. Additionally, the project requires 3500 cubic meters of concrete, 733 metric tons of reinforcement, and 1100 H Beam Sleepers.
