Sri Jagannath Seva Samiti Khidirpur joyously celebrated Rathayatra 2024 today with devotion. The Rath Yatra held from Khidirpur Jagannath Temple to Northern Park, Bhawanipur, Kolkata, brought together devotees and participants from across the community to witness and partake in the grand procession.
The roadshow featured performances by several Kirtan Groups, Chhau dance, Sankha badan, and Ghanta Badan, culminating with the arrival and enthronement of the deities at Northern Park, Bhawanipur.
Led by the members of Sri Jagannath Seva Samiti, the Rathayatra procession commenced with traditional rituals and prayers, invoking blessings for all attendees. The chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra adorned with vibrant decorations, were ceremoniously pulled through the streets of Kolkata amidst chanting of hymns and bhajans.
Shri Ram Gopal Bansal, Chairman, BMW Industries Limited did the Chera Panhara and Shri Ashim Kumar Basu, Hon’ble Councillor, Word No 70, Kolkata joined the holy ceremony of the festival. Thousands of devotees and well-wishers gathered to participate in the procession, underscoring the community’s deep-rooted spiritual devotion and cultural heritage. The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie as families and individuals joined in the festivities, offering prayers and seeking blessings.
