Stepping Up Against Cancer! Over several spirited participants joined Manipal Hospital Dhakuria’s World Cancer Day Walkathon in the early hours of the morning. Donning colourful ribbons symbolizing different cancer types, they walked in unity through Dhakuria’s vibrant streets, spreading awareness and hope. The event was flagged off by hospital dignitaries and a cancer survivor, with invitations extended to all internal employees, oncology doctors, and neighbourhood communities. The walk began from the hospital premises towards Sangeet Sarani Road (beside Dhakuria Bridge), continued along Southern Avenue Road, moved towards Lake Kalibari before taking a U-turn, rounded up from Golpark, and concluded back at Manipal Hospital Dhakuria. The day kicked off with an energetic warmup session and wrapped up with inspiring words from our oncology experts, all while music and enthusiasm filled the air. Together the participants pledged for a cancer free future.
