As the dawn of a new year awakens Bengal, The Astor Kolkata welcomes you to Aaji Baisakh Jagrata Dware, an opulent Poila Boisakh lunch buffet that celebrates the soul of Bengali cuisine. Priced at INR 2499 for the alcoholic package and INR 1499 for the non-alcoholic package, this grand feast will be served for lunch from 12 Noon to 4 PM on 15th April, Tuesday. With every aroma and every bite, The Astor Kolkata brings you the nostalgia of home, the joy of togetherness, and the rich traditions that make Nobo Borsho truly special.

The feast is a tribute to Bengal’s most cherished flavors, meticulously curated to create a tapestry of taste and tradition. Begin with the bittersweet embrace of Shukto, followed by the comforting simplicity of Begun Basanti and the creamy allure of Doi Potol. Relish the richness of Chingri Malai Curry, the delicate tenderness of Bhapa Ilish, and the homely goodness of Macher Matha Diye Dal. For those who favor meat, the slow-cooked perfection of Mutton Kosha and the heartiness of Basanti Pulao offer indulgence beyond compare.

No Poila Boisakh meal is complete without an array of sweet delights. End your feast with Roshogolla, Sandesh, Chanar Payesh, and Mishti Doi, each carrying the warmth of Bengal’s sweetest traditions.

Set in the refined elegance of The Astor Kolkata, the air will be filled with the scents of nostalgia and festivity. Conversations will flow, laughter will echo, and the essence of the new year will be savored in every dish, bringing families and friends together in the true spirit of Poila Boisakh.

“As we step into the Bengali New Year, we wish to offer an experience that transcends food—it is a celebration of emotion, memory, and the deep love we hold for our roots,” said Mr. Amit Kobat, GM at The Astor Kolkata. “Aaji Baisakh Jagrata Dware is our way of welcoming 1432 with a grand feast that resonates with every Bengali heart.”

This spirit of celebration is not limited to Bengal alone. For the first time ever, The Astor Goa embraces the festive fervor of Poila Boisakh, presenting a specially curated 10-course experience titled “Unlocking Culinary Secrets of Kolkata.” From April 11th to 16th, guests in Goa will be treated to a culinary journey that brings the essence of Bengal to the coast—showcasing Mughlai opulence, Anglo-Indian heritage, and the vibrant flavors of Tangra-style Indo-Chinese cuisine. Curated by Chefs Amrusha and Divyanshi, this immersive menu is priced at INR 1500+ taxes for the vegetarian menu and INR 1999+ taxes for the non-vegetarian menu, this immersive journey invites guests in Goa to savor the heritage and heart of Kolkata in a setting that blends coastal charm with culinary nostalgia.
