Tata Capital, the financial services arm of the Tata Group, reported continued strides in its social impact initiatives for FY25, reaching over 1 million individuals across India. The company’s efforts focused on critical areas such as water conservation, renewable energy, healthcare, and education.

Highlighting its multi-thematic social impact interventions, the company’s FY25 Annual Report outlined its purpose-led philosophy of being a ‘responsible financial partner in fulfilling India’s aspirations.’ Upholding Tata Group’s values, the company continues to embed social and environmental priorities into its core business strategy, the report further stated.
In water conservation, the company’s flagship JalAadhar initiative covered 200+ villages in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, creating over 2,500 million litres of water harvesting capacity. In total, it has treated 790+ water bodies, impacted 540,000+ people, raised groundwater levels by 5.5 meters on average, and increased farmer incomes by ~INR 30,000.

The Green Switch initiative, focusing on enabling clean energy, bridged solar power access to 19 hamlets, reaching around 7,500 people and electrifying 1,200+ homes. The cumulative impact includes 99 electrified hamlets and over 20,000 beneficiaries while raising the average annual income increase of ~INR 40,000 for entrepreneurs.

In addition, the Aarogyatara initiative, aimed at eradicating curable blindness, screened 610,000 individuals and enabled over 44,000 vision-restoring surgeries during the year. Overall, the program has reached more than a million individuals and facilitated over 140,000 vision correction surgeries.

Furthermore, the Pankh scholarship program, in line with its focus on academic empowerment, supported over 12,000 youth in gaining access to quality education in FY25, bringing the collective reach to more than 25,000 students.
