Sportiz hosted the official unveiling ceremony of the JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025 participants’ T-shirt and Finisher’s Medal. The T-Shirt & Medal were introduced by the Event Ambassadors, Mr Milind Soman, Model, Actor, Endurance Athlete and Fitness Icon of India and Ms Ankita Konwar, Fitness Influencer and Ironman Finisher. Distinguished guests, Mr Gaurav Jajodia, Director, Jai Balaji Group and Mr Nishant Maheshwari, CEO & Founder, Sportiz were also present for the occasion.

This unveiling marked a symbolic moment in the march toward the 10th edition of JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025, reinforcing the themes of movement, legacy and the deep connection between Kolkata and its runners.

“Unveiling the T-shirt and Medal today is our way of saying thanks to all past, present and future runners. This milestone edition is not just about crossing the finish line, but about leaving a mark: in yellow, in gold, in every footprint on Red Road,” said Mr Nishant Maheshwari, CEO & Founder, Sportiz.

“With this 10th edition of JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025, we present not a mere paraphernalia but threads of memory. These T-shirts and Medals carry the stories, aspirations and pride of every runner. As title sponsors, Jai Balaji Group continues to nurture health, unity and community through sport,” said Mr Gaurav Jajodia, Director, Jai Balaji Group.

For this milestone 10th edition, the participants’ T-shirt has been designed around the theme Leaving a Footprint. Inspiring a Movement. The centrepiece is a bold shoe sole print bearing the event name “JBG Kolkata Marathon 2025,” evoking the countless footsteps that have defined the marathon’s history with the assertion that every runner contributes to the momentum and spirit of this community run.

Manufactured by Athems, the T-shirt, is a fabric engineered for performance with its lightweight, breathable, quick-dry and treated with anti-odour and UV protection. The bright yellow base was selected to symbolize:

· Happiness & Optimism, in keeping with the celebratory mood of the 10th edition

· Energy & Warmth, reflecting the zeal of every runner

· High Visibility, to enhance safety on roads by making runners more visible to vehicular traffic

All the participants are to receive their T-shirts ahead of the race as part of the participation kit during the Bib Expo, scheduled for 28th & 29th November 2025.

The Finisher’s Medal customised for this year carries the theme A Decade of Glory. A New Chapter at the Maidan. Crafted as a lasting token of pride, its round shape nods to continuity and community legacy, while the antique gold finish gives it a dignified, premium presence worthy of this landmark edition.

A defining feature is the cut-out silhouette of the Victoria Memorial, anchoring the Medal to the marathon’s new venue at the Maidan and reinforcing the bond between the run and Kolkata’s iconic geography. The engraved “10” heralds a decade of collective achievement, and the rim is adorned with subtle engravings of Kolkata’s cultural motifs like bridges, yellow taxis and local landmarks rooting the design in the city’s unique identity.

The countdown has thus begun for 30th November, 2025.
