‘GITA FOR WORK AND LIFE’ Launched at International Kolkata Book Fair 2026

EIILM–Kolkata successfully hosted the launch of the book ‘GITA FOR WORK AND LIFE’, authored by Prof. (Dr.) Rama Prasad Banerjee, and published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, at the SBI Main Auditorium, Boi Mela Prangan, on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. The event was organised as part of the International Kolkata Book Fair 2026 and witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from the fields of arts, diplomacy, healthcare, corporate leadership, and academia.

The book launch was graced by distinguished guests including Abir Chatterjee and Priyanka Sarkar, renowned actors; Andres Sebastian Rojas, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Argentina in India; Sudhangshu Sekhar Dey, President, International Kolkata Book Fair 2026; and Tridib Kumar Chatterjee, Honorary General Secretary, International Kolkata Book Fair 2026.

Other notable dignitaries present at the event included Sanjukta Deb Roy, RA Director – Global Pre-Market Centre of Excellence, GE Healthcare; Prasenjit Pal, Joint General Manager (ATM), Airports Authority of India; S. K. Dutt, Director, First Act Global Pvt. Ltd. and Senior Advisor, UNCTAD Empretec Program, India; M. Gopinath, Sales Director, Taylor and Francis Group and Raghu BS, Executive Vice President, GTT Data Solution Pvt. Ltd.

Prof. (Dr.) Rama Prasad Banerjee, Leader of Vedic Wisdom, Chairman & Director of EIILM–Kolkata and Founder of the Asian Integration Forum (AIF), is the author of ‘GITA FOR WORK AND LIFE’. The book explores the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and its relevance in modern professional and personal life, offering practical insights on leadership, ethics, and decision-making.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Rama Prasad Banerjee said, “The Bhagavad Gita is not merely a spiritual text; it is a practical guide for work and life. This book seeks to reinterpret its eternal wisdom for today’s leaders, professionals, and young minds navigating complex challenges.”

The programme concluded with engaging discussions and interactions, reaffirming EIILM–Kolkata’s commitment to integrating Indian knowledge systems with contemporary management education.
