World Trade Center Salt Lake, the first World Trade Center in West Bengal and the Eastern Region, celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with a community wellness initiative at Acropolis Mall, in association with Decathlon. The event brought together fitness enthusiasts, shoppers, corporate professionals, and wellness-conscious individuals to embrace the transformative benefits of yoga and holistic well-being.
Held at the Atrium of Acropolis Mall from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the event featured a professionally guided yoga session conducted by renowned yoga trainer Parijat Das. More than 40 participants joined the session, highlighting the growing awareness and enthusiasm for healthy and balanced lifestyles.

Speaking on the occasion, Subhadip Basu, Corporate General Manager – Retail & Hospitality, Merlin Group, said that International Yoga Day serves as a timely reminder of the importance of holistic wellness in today’s fast-paced world. Through this initiative, World Trade Center Salt Lake and Acropolis Mall aimed to encourage individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles while creating opportunities for community participation and engagement. He added that wellness is an integral part of a vibrant and productive society, and such initiatives help strengthen community bonds while promoting physical and mental well-being.
The collaboration with Decathlon further strengthened the event’s objective of encouraging active living and wellness among citizens. The celebration was also supported through a dedicated social media campaign to amplify awareness and inspire wider participation.
