The character looks from Sobsomoy’s eagerly anticipated original Bengali web series, Brahmachari Boys, which is helmed by Joydip Banerjee, are out now. Brahmachari Boys promises a delightful blend of comedy, romance, friendship, and everyday office chaos, all set in the dynamic world of a corporate workplace. The show examines contemporary relationships through an entertaining and captivating storyline with eccentric characters, realistic circumstances, and touching moments.

The cast of the series consists of Suvajit Kar as Biprotip Poddar (BP), Debraj Bhattacharya as Purnendu Sarkar (Punu), Rwitobroto Mukherjee as Sirish Upadhyay, Kaushik Sen as Madhav Chandra Palit (MCP), Rii Sen as Rini Sen, Anuradha Mukherjee as Shalini Palit, Moumita Hari as Rajnandini Mitra (Raji), Durbar Sharma as Sick Robi, and Shaili Bhattacharya as Nira.

A first look at the unique personalities that comprise the world of Brahmachari Boys is provided by the recently unveiled character appearances, which also hint at the humor, chemistry, and poignant moments that viewers can expect.

Director Joydip Banerjee said, “Brahmachari Boys is a modern adaptation of the Tagore play Chirokumar Sabha. Kaushik Sen and Rii play the opposing bosses in the story, which reimagines the traditional battle of the sexes in the setting of contemporary corporate Bengali culture. It’s a wholesome romantic comedy that humorously and subtly tackles issues like gender politics and misogyny. The film is sure to appeal to both young and old because it features some excellent performances and wonderful chemistry between the lead actors”.

Anuradha Mukherjee, who plays Shalini Palit, said, “The genre of this series is what most intrigues me. We don’t often get to create pure comedy in Bengali, which is why this project is so novel. As the plot progresses, viewers will learn how Shalini, who plays an aspiring actor, relates to the Brahmachari Boys. I was also quite thrilled with my appearance, which is unique, quirky, and fresh. I genuinely believe that the series’ humor and energy will resonate with the younger generation. I sincerely hope that viewers will appreciate this project as much as we did”.

Rwitobroto Mukherjee on playing Sirish Upadhyay said, “Because Sirish Kumar is unlike any character I’ve ever played, playing him was a welcome challenge. I enjoyed working on his diction and distinctive appearance. He is a diligent Bihari boy who lives in Kolkata and speaks broken Bengali with a Hindi accent. Despite having traditional and misogynistic views, he is very religious and aspires to be a UPSC officer. I was challenged as an actor to explore such a complex, imperfect personality, which made the part genuinely unforgettable”.

With Brahmachari Boys, Sobsomoy keeps adding new, relatable, and entertaining stories to its lineup of original Bengali content. Soon, the streaming date and trailer will be revealed. For additional updates on Brahmachari Boys, keep an eye on Sobsomoy’s official social media accounts.
