Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex (SurTech), a JIS Group Educational Initiative, hosted its Student Induction Programme 2026–27 (Pehla Kadam), welcoming the new batch of students and marking the beginning of their academic journey with an engaging programme focused on inspiration, exposure and holistic development.

The presence of distinguished personalities from diverse fields provided the students with an opportunity to gain broader perspectives on education, leadership, discipline, perseverance and professional growth. The interaction with accomplished personalities from governance, education, spirituality, diplomacy, sports, defence, media and industry offered the students valuable exposure to different professional journeys and experiences. The programme also highlighted the significance of developing communication, leadership, discipline, confidence and a sense of responsibility alongside academic and technical knowledge.
The Student Induction Programme marked the beginning of a new academic chapter for the students of SURTECH, introducing them to an educational ecosystem that places emphasis on academic excellence, holistic development, values and exposure to diverse fields.
