Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, Hyderabad, organized a press meet at the Kolkata Press Club to showcase its advanced cancer care capabilities, with a special focus on MR-LINAC Technology and its role in delivering highly precise and personalised radiation therapy.

The interaction was led by Dr. M. A key focus of the discussion was MR-LINAC, one of the world’s most advanced radiation therapy technologies and among the pioneering installations in India. The technology combines high-quality MRI imaging with precise radiation delivery, enabling clinicians to visualise tumours and surrounding healthy tissues more clearly during treatment and adapt radiation delivery based on changes in the patient’s anatomy.

Speaking at the press meet, Dr. M. Suneetha, Sr. Consultant Radiation Oncologist & Clinical Director, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, highlighted the growing importance of precision and personalised approaches in cancer treatment. She explained how advanced technologies such as MR-LINAC can support clinicians in delivering more targeted radiation therapy while taking into consideration the movement and changes in tumours and surrounding organs during the course of treatment.
