Annapurna Swadisht, a Kolkata-based packaged snacks and food and beverages company, has appointed Harish R Navarathna as an Independent Director. Navarathna will replace Hitu Gambhir Mahajan who has resigned from the board due to occupancy in her own business venture.
Harish Navarathna has 38 years of overall experience spanning across accounts, planning and IT. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in Unilever handling accounts, planning and IT; 6 years in Capgemini managing delivery across P2P, O2C, R2R and controls and 10 years at Britannia leading IT across application, infrastructure, network and security.
During his stint with HUL and Britannia, Navarathna has been instrumental in part of 3 ERP Implementations 1 on QAD/MFG/PRO and 2 SAP implementations. He has also led the implementation of S4 HANA along with the Dealer Management System ensuring smooth change in management across 30K users.
Navarathna’s selection to the board is a strategic move to bolster the company’s leadership further. The company had, in September last year, announced the appointment of Gajanan Prasad Sah Kalwar as an Additional Director and Joint Managing Director of the company.
“It has been our constant endeavour to strengthen the company’s board and fortify the leadership team to steer the company on to the next phase of growth. We believe with his rich and varied experience spanning across the domain of accounts, IT and planning, Mr Navarathna will serve as an invaluable asset and will contribute in the company’s sustainable growth and effective corporate governance practices,” Shreeram Bagla, Managing Director, Annapurna Swadisht, said.
