The Australian participation is brought together by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in partnership with Invest and Trade Western Australia; Investment New South Wales; Trade and Investment Queensland; Austmine – Australia’s largest mining industry body and supported by Department of State Development, Government of South Australia.

The Australian participation at the exhibition features a cross section of Australian METS firms such as consulting, exploration, mining IT, mining equipment, environmental & low carbon mining, and quality & safety.

Other key events during IME 2025:

  1. Austrade organised an Australian Mining and Resource Investment seminar focusing on developing secure and sustainable supply chain for critical minerals and copper underpinned by advanced processing technologies that support both the nations’ decarbonisation and clean energy transitions.
  2. Austrade jointly with Women in Mining India organised the Symposium on Diversity and Inclusion in Mining to highlight the evolving role of women in mining and foster leadership opportunities for women and other diverse groups across the mining value chain. An Australian First Nations delegation shared their experiences in advancing diversity and inclusion within their professional communities.

Speaking about the Australian participation, Mr Nathan Davis, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), said, ” We are proud to be present with over 40 Australian METS suppliers at IME 2025. Australia is committed to being India’s trusted partner in building a safer, more productive, and sustainable mining sector. Through collaboration, innovation, and shared ambition, we are confident that the Australian METS delegation will open new pathways for growth and decarbonisation.”
