The need for innovation in education to make learning more engaging and relevant for students was emphasized by Mr Anand Kumar, Founder of the Super 30 programme, today in CII Education East Summit in Kolkata. Mr Kumar highlighted that transforming education is essential to prepare the youth for Viksit Bharat 2047, where knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking will drive progress. The second and concluding day of the Education East Summit 2025, organised by CII Eastern Region in Kolkata brought together eminent educationists and industry leaders to deliberate on the future of learning in an era of rapid technological change.
Speaking on the changing global landscape, Mr Ujjal Chakraborti, Chairman, CII Eastern Region Education & Skill Development Subcommittee and Executive In Charge – Tinplate Division, Tata Steel Limited, noted that we are living through the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a period marked by automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and biotechnology, all of which are reshaping the way we work and live. He observed that education today is not just preparation for the future; it is the force that will define it.
Mr Chakraborti also underlined the importance of Education 4.0, which aligns learning ecosystems with the needs of Industry 4.0. He stressed that alongside the traditional 3Rs — Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, the new-age 4Cs — Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration must form the cornerstone of future-ready education.
The summit concluded with a collective call to reimagine India’s education framework to nurture adaptable, skilled, and empathetic learners — ready to lead the nation’s transformation in the decades ahead.
