Kasturi Culinary Empire Expands with Grand Opening of 15th Outlet in Hatibagan

Kasturi, the iconic Bengali food brand synonymous with tradition and innovation, proudly announced the grand opening of its 15th outlet in Hatibagan, on Tuesday, 7th May 2024. What began as a modest venture by the late Gopal Chandra Saha in 1994 with just 4 tables accommodating 16 guests, has blossomed into a culinary empire under the visionary leadership of Mr. Bishal Saha, the second-generation torchbearer of the brand. The occasion was graced by the eminent Indian actress Koneenica Banerjee.

From its humble beginnings in Free School Street, Kasturi has surpassed boundaries, attracting not only Bangladeshi tourists but also a loyal following from all corners of Kolkata and West Bengal. With its mouthwatering signature dishes like Kochupatta diye chingri bhappa, Kaski maacher chochorie and Golmorich diye bhetki bhappa, Kasturi has carved a niche for itself in the culinary landscape of the region.

Kasturi, with 11 branches in Kolkata and expansions into Puri, Guwahati and Siliguri, has established itself as a household name, praised for its authentic Bengali flavours and exceptional service. In addition to its famous thalis such as the Mini Thali, Sampurna Bhoj Thali and the popular Maharaja Thali, Kasturi also provides a diverse selection of cuisines through its outdoor catering services, featuring Mughlai, Biryani, Chinese and Bangladeshi specialties, ensuring a delightful culinary experience for every palate. As Kasturi embarks on this new chapter with the launch of its 15th outlet, it reaffirms its dedication to delighting patrons with the timeless flavours of Bengal and beyond.
