SPK Jain Futuristic Academy recently held a press conference to introduce its new Montessori Teacher Training Program, developed in collaboration with IMTC Bengaluru. The event took place on June 18, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Park Hotel in Kolkata.
The guest of honour, Sujata R Kumar, Director of IMTC, delivered an impressive keynote speech focusing on the Montessori Teacher Training Program and how it equips aspiring teachers to create effective learning environments for young children. Shri Jaideep Patwa, the Hon. Secretary, discussed the broader impact of the program, emphasizing the necessity of quality training in Montessori methods to foster self-motility and manipulative play approaches in teaching. Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly, Principal of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, elaborated on the program’s goals and importance, stressing the need to train teachers to address students’ needs and foster innovative, critical, and emotional skills in the learning process.
The event proceeded with a comprehensive presentation of the Montessori Teacher Training Program and explained how the program was of value to participants. From the discussions held during the meeting, participants were informed about the course’s objectives, content, theoretical, and practical topics which focus on the teaching of Montessori with an aim of achieving a thorough understanding of the Montessori learning system.
