The faculty and staff of The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (iLEAD) came together to celebrate the auspicious festival of Durga Puja, a revered tradition in West Bengal and beyond. On this special day, the institution showcased its commitment to cultural heritage and community bonding.

The celebration began with a traditional attire day, where staff members donned their finest Indian outfits. The festivities continued with a musical extravaganza, featuring retro songs by legendary artists like Kumar Sanu and Kishore Kumar, as well as soulful Rabindra Sangeet performances by faculty members.

The event also included a delicious Bengali snack fest, with popular treats like Puchka and Churmur. To express solidarity with the festival’s spirit across regions, participants also enjoyed Dandiya and Dhunuchi dance, highlighting the rich cultural diversity of India.

A unique aspect of the celebration was the traditional decoration using Shola items, paying homage to the rich craftsmanship of Bengal. iLEAD’s sustainable campus, built using recycled materials, added a special touch to the festivities. A stunning Durga idol crafted from recycled materials has been installed at the House of Sheherwali – A museum hotel in Azeemganj, showcasing the institution’s commitment to creativity and sustainability.

The Sheherwali’s residence, featuring a hotel museum curated with old artifacts and historical exhibits, is a must-visit destination during the Durga Puja celebrations. We invite everyone to experience the beauty of this unique installation and explore the rich cultural heritage on display.
