Cultural event ‘Navchetna Utsav’ combines culture with humanity; Entire proceeds of the event donated to the welfare of specially abled children

Event Maniac Foundation, in collaboration with Global Academy of Fine Arts, successfully organized ‘Navchetna Utsav’ on Saturday, July 4, at Behala Sharat Sadan, Kolkata. A mesmerizing evening of music, dance and culture, the event took on a unique dimension with the presence of distinguished guests, talented artists and countless culture lovers. At the same time, this event also set a shining example of social responsibility.

The event was attended by several eminent personalities including State BJP Spokesperson Smt. Keya Ghosh, President of Lions Club Kolkata Shri Kishan Gopal Kejriwal and President of Strategy and Finance Department of M. L. D. Dalmiya Group Shri Manish Dalmiya.

The mesmerizing performances of music and dance throughout the program highlighted the heritage of Indian culture in a new way and further reflected the organizers’ commitment to the preservation and promotion of art and culture.

A special highlight of the program was the conferment of the ‘Kala Acharya Samman’* to eminent dance guru *Sushmita Mishra. This honor is given in recognition of her long-standing and outstanding contribution to the promotion of Indian classical dance and culture. She was honored with this honor amidst applause from the guests and audience present, which became one of the most memorable moments of the program.

One of the most notable aspects of the program was the decision to donate the entire proceeds from this cultural program to the welfare of specially abled children. The guests and audience present warmly applauded this humanitarian initiative and highly appreciated this effort of responsibility towards the society along with cultural practice.

Speaking on the occasion, State BJP Spokesperson Smt. Keya Ghosh said,

“Culture has always brought people together and paved the way for positive change in the society. I am very happy with this initiative to link the celebration of art and culture with the welfare of specially abled children. Such an event sets a unique example of compassion, inclusion and social responsibility.”
