The trend of achieving maximum happiness and success through shortcuts or the quickest way in every aspect of life has intensified in the current era. This rush and pursuit of shortcuts is leading to increased mental instability, fatigue, and frustration instead of lasting improvement in personal life. Along with this, religious divisions are being created again sometimes, somewhere, for the purpose of personal gain or for political reasons. Keeping these issues in mind, that is, against religious divisions and to give a message of purification of the mind by rising above greed and lust, two plays are going to be staged— ‘Shiv Mandir’ and ‘Brishti Elo’.
The plays ‘Shiv Mandir’ and ‘Brishti Elo’ directed by Kunaljit will be staged at Tapan Theater on May 23 (2026). The play ‘Shiv Mandir’ is written by Subhankar Chakraborty and the play ‘Brishti Elo’ is written by Swapan Das.
Biswajit Chakraborty will play an important role in the ‘Shiv Mandir’. However, Kunaljit will act in both the plays ‘Shiv Mandir’ and ‘Brishti Elo’. Other important roles will be played by Subhra Rupa, Amit Roy and others.
Actor Biswajit Chakraborty has expressed his happiness that he will be able to find time to act in the play ‘Shiv Mandir’ despite his busy schedule of acting in films.
Kunaljit, a well-known actor of small screen and big screen, is going to make his debut as a director through these two plays, he said in a press release. Both plays will be staged under the banner of ‘Red Kalash Entertainment’. Stage design by Ajit Roy. Lighting by Saikat Manna. Background music by Partha D Mitra. Overall management by Subhra Rupa Dutta.
